Overview

These Terms & Conditions describe the basic customer responsibilities and service expectations for using Avani's Freight Services to ship packages from the U.S. to Jamaica.

Accounts and Dashboard Instructions

Customers should sign up for free on the website. After registration, customers are directed to their dashboard with shipping details and further instructions. Customers are responsible for using the correct Avani's shipping information when shopping or sending packages.

Ordering Without a Credit Card

Customers who do not have a credit or debit card may request order assistance by sending the product link and item details to Avani's Freight Services. The item will be purchased on the customer's behalf after full payment has been received through an accepted method.

Payments

  • Accepted payment methods may include cash, bank transfer, debit card, and credit card.
  • Customers should send proof of payment by WhatsApp or email before delivery, or provide it upon delivery where arranged.
  • Standard shipping rates start at J$600 per pound. Special rates start at J$350 per pound for qualifying shipments weighing 20 pounds or more.
  • Additional charges may apply where customs, duties, permits, special handling, storage, redelivery, or third-party delivery services are required.

Package Information and Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate names, contact details, product details, shipment information, invoices, and delivery instructions.
  • Customers must use the correct U.S. shipping address and suite number provided in their account. Avani's Freight Services is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address entered during checkout.
  • Invoices are required to support accurate declarations to Jamaica Customs and reduce avoidable delays.
  • Customers should track purchases and notify Avani's Freight Services if a store, carrier, or package detail changes.
  • Packages may be delayed if customer information, payment proof, invoices, customs details, or contact details are incomplete.

Restricted and Permit-Required Items

Some items are restricted or require permits when importing into Jamaica. Customers must contact Avani's Freight Services before purchasing or shipping any questionable item, including permit-required examples listed on the website. Avani's Freight Services does not provide instructions for bypassing restrictions or approvals.

Shipping Schedule and Estimates

  • Packages delivered to the U.S. warehouse by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. have the best chance of weekend delivery.
  • Packages received after the Wednesday deadline are generally included in the following shipment due to airline scheduling.
  • Shipping and delivery times are estimates and may be affected by airline availability, customs processing, weather, public holidays, or circumstances beyond the company's control.

Delivery-Only Service

  • Avani's Freight Services delivers packages directly to customers' homes or workplaces and does not offer customer pickup.
  • Delivery is available throughout Jamaica, including Montego Bay, although direct delivery availability may vary by location.
  • Knutsford Express may be used where direct delivery is unavailable.
  • Delivery requests should be submitted before 11:00 a.m. on the preferred delivery day. Later requests are accommodated where possible but are not guaranteed for same-day delivery.
  • Standard delivery hours are Monday-Saturday from 12 PM to 5 PM. Customers should have package details and proof of payment ready when receiving a delivery.

Communication

Customers may contact Avani's Freight Services by phone, WhatsApp, or email. Service updates may be sent through available contact channels. Customers should keep contact information current so shipment and delivery updates are not missed.

Service Changes

Rates, delivery areas, restricted-item guidance, rewards, and service availability may change. Customers should confirm current details before shipping, especially for oversized packages, restricted items, special delivery requests, or permit-required items.
